Crap. Guess I’ll be hanging out in line. I’m seriously tempted to go the Raspberry Pi route if they are as hard to get a hold of as the NES Classic.

Nintendo insists they’ll meet demand this time around, but I’m skeptical. I bought 2 — the other one for my brother (at cost). Some of these scalpers buying 10+ are sickening.

I was at Office Depot last night and they randomly had both the Sega Genesis Classic and Atari Flashback 7 for 50 bucks each, both of which are apparently licensed by this company called AtGames . They have a bunch of games built in but don’t do any upscaling like Nintendo’s in-house made retro consoles.
There are new versions coming out soon though, and they have 720p HDMI outputs. The Genesis one even takes cartridges. But who knows if this AtGames company will make a quality product even with that HDMI output.
